My
Background
My
interest in personal development began whilst living and working
in London. I spent the first 24 years of my working career in
the corporate travel industry and have 16 years of managerial
experience. During this time I supported all of my team
members in utilising their talents and recognising their skills
and helped many of them move their lives forward. More recently
I have worked in the public sector and the property market. The
latter re-affirmed the fact that physical and emotional clutter
are inextricably linked and I have worked with a number of clients
who have wanted to focus on de-cluttering their lives.
I
know from personal experience how powerful coaching can be. Having
worked in London all my life and lived there for 13 years, I decided
that there had to be more to my existence than feeling I was in
a vicious circle of having to work in a well paid but stressful
job in order to afford my apartment and a lifestyle that had become
increasingly unfulfilling. My life was just a constant battle
against the stress that I felt from work and the need to claw
back precious time to enjoy myself and find something ‘worthwhile’
to do. On leaving London and moving to the country, I decided
to pursue a coaching career. Having gone through the process of
a complete life change myself, I realised that I could consolidate
my experience and skills and work with others who want to make
positive changes in their lives. I really do believe that downshifting
saved my sanity and I am living proof that life coaching can seriously
change your life – for the better!
My
Qualifications
I
have trained with premier UK life coach, Curly Martin, and studied
with Newcastle College whose certificate and diploma courses were
co-written by another leading life coach, Fiona Harrold. The training
I received is accredited by the ECI (European Coaching Institute),
Association for Coaching and the OCN (Open College Network).
As
a coach, I am building on years of business and professional experience
to take clients forward to success, happiness and a sense of achievement.
I combine my skills with my experience of life in order to coach
others. I continue to further my education through personal and
professional development courses and my own autonomous learning.
My
Interests
I love the great outdoors, walking, reading, sailing and music.
Once I moved to the country I started singing – an amazing
accomplishment for one that had not opened her mouth for years
having been told that I was tone deaf! With the encouragement
of a great singing teacher and choir leader who became a close
friend, I joined a local community choir and have performed both
with them and on my own (accompanied by my partner on guitar)
in front of audiences of between 10 – 500 people. I also
love animals and volunteer at a local re-homing centre and am
passionate about the environment.
